Dark Vengence Work In Progress

These models are done except for the basing. The plan is to base the all of the models in the box set at the same time.

Blood Angels Army

Here is a Blood Angels Army.  It was painted with a mix of traditional brush work and airbrush. They were based on cork with weathering powders.

Counts-as Tycho- Death Company

Death Company Bolters and CCW

Assault Squad with lightning claws and Plasma Pistols

The DC and their Ride

Tzneench Terminators

Here are some Tzneench Terminators.  There were painted with an airbrush to get some really cool color transitions.

High Elf Wizard, Alternate Color Scheme

Here is a High Elf Wizard painted in an alternate color scheme.  I enjoyed painting a little bit of freehand on the cloak.  The customer seemed really happy with the contrast between the purple and green.

Tzneench Demonic Herald... I think

Here we have a Tzneench Demonic herald.  I believe that this is an older GW model.  It was painted for fun.

These Colors Don't Run Relaunch

Over the last few years my circumstances have changed considerably in terms of my personal, professional, and hobby life.  It only follows that the blog should change as well.  In an effort to reinvent this blog to better reflect current ideas and directions I chose "These Colors Don't Run."

Here is a sample of the new direction I want to pursue.

Who's Da Boss!?

Here is an older model from the Assault on Black Reach set that I pained a few weeks ago.

I finally got out the photo box so that I could take some good pictures.

This means WAAAAAGGGGGGHHHH

It is an older model but I think that the paint looks pretty good.

Do you ever find a use for old starter box models?

Let me know what you think,
